Some of his notable assignments include the Convener of the Asian Congress of Pediatric Surgery in 1976 and the Convener of the first A.O. workshop in India in 1978.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has recognized his mastery over the subject by inviting him as their faculty representative in the WHO seminars.
He is a surgeon. In spite of this, he believes in other branches of medicine such as Ayurvedic and Homeopathy. It is very rare for a surgeon and that too, a noted one to acknowledge the efficiency of other alternative streams of medicine.
